Stand Up Paddleboard and Canoe

Challenge your balance on the popular Stand up Paddleboards (SUP) at HimmerLand, or set off on a leisurely canoe trip – all on the beautiful Sjørup Lake, which is right next to the resort. Or what about a nice canoe trip? The canoes are 4.5 meters long, with space for 2 adults + 2 children or 3 adults (double child seat in the middle).

A set of rules, which can be read here, life jackets and paddles are available at the reception. Book a SUP and Canoe rental at our reception or below.

Important: Keys for SUP, vests and paddles must be returned directly to reception after use.

This activity depends on the season from June 1 until week 42.

Sauna at the lake, Sjørup Sø

With a direct view of Sjørup Sø, our barrel sauna has one of the best views at the resort. Here you have plenty of opportunities to swim all year round.

It can accommodate 6 people at a time, and the sauna is open for booking every day between 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Book an appointment at our reception or below.

Running routes

The nature around Himmerland invites outdoor activities, and there is nothing better than a run in our beautiful surroundings.

Take time to stop and enjoy the stunning views along the way – try the lovely walk around Sjørup Lake, or in the Himmerland Moors. At the reception, we’ll be happy to provide you with maps and information about the area, so we can find the best route for you.

Playground and Croquet

At our place, there is something to try for everyone. Next to our Adventure Mini-Golf course, you’ll find a wonderful playground, which is frequently used when the weather allows it.

At HimmerLand, you can also challenge your family or friends to a game of croquet; the croquet lawn, which is arguably Denmark’s finest grass lawn, is located next to our Starter’s house. Book croquet at our reception or by email himmerland@himmerland.eu.
